Have you heard the exciting news? The EQ-i has been revised and will be released in July!
As you recall, the EQ-i was the first assessment to measure emotional/social functioning. Since it's introduced in 1997, professionals like you have used the EQ-i to support leadership development, talent management, selection/recruitment and human resource development.
Shortly after MHS (Multi-Health Systems), the publisher, began the task of re-norming the EQ-i, they made a strategic decision to incorporate client feedback and do a complete make-over of the EQ-i experience.
Based on what I have seen so far, the MHS team has done an excellent job incorporating sound science and extensive research in re-developing EQ-i 2.0. Soon, you will be able to integrate a more valid, reliable and user friendly assessment tool into your practice.
Before EQ-i 2.0 is released to the general public, I wanted to share answers to a few frequently asked questions. If you have additional questions, please contact me.
When will EQ-i 2.0 be available?
EQ-i 2.0 will be released in July 2011.
Will I need to be re-certified in order to use EQ-i2.0?
No, re-certification will not be required. However, you may want to consider participating in one or both EQ-i 2.0 Transition Support events offered by Crescendo Inc. (See sidebar or website for additional information).
Is it possible to take EQ-i2.0 so that I can see for myself what has changed?
Absolutely! When you experience the new assessment and receive a copy of the new WORKPLACE reports (client and coach), you will be even more excited about using EQ-i 2.0 in your organization.
If you take EQ-i 2.0 and then decide to participate in the EQ-i 2.0 Refresh Workshop, your workshop fee will be adjusted to reflect your EQ-i 2.0 assessment purchase.
To experience EQ-i 2.0 and receive your confidential reports, contact Lisa Griebel.
What has changed in EQ-i2.0?
MHS has created a new assessment 'experience' that leverages the scientific rigor and predictive capability of the original EQ-i with newly enhanced features that users requested. EQ-i 2.0 includes:
- Updated norms and cross-cultural application
- Subtle and positive changes in the EQ-i model and competencies.
- Customized report features that enhance interpretation & debriefs
- Comprehensive Learning Management System
Will I need to start using EQ-i 2.0 immediately? How long will the current EQ-i be available?
You will have access to the current EQ-i for a full year following the release of EQ-i 2.0. This means you can transition to the new assessment when it makes sense for you and your business.
Will I have access to all the data in my existing Scoring Organizer account?
Yes, you will have access to your current EQ-i data following the release of EQ-i 2.0. While the functional details are still being worked out, MHS recognizes the importance of providing you with access.
Will I be able to apply report uses I have already purchased to the new EQ-i2.0?
Absolutely. EQ-i 2.0 will operate using a token model. This process will make it easier for you to buy what you want when you want it. For example, if a token is $1 and you have report uses valued at $100 in your old account, MHS will transfer 100 tokens to your new EQ-i 2.0 account. Additionally, all tokens can be used for any report type.
How can I learn more about EQ-i 2.0?
Crescendo Inc. is hosting a 1-hour EQ-i 2.0 Preview Session and a day-long EQ-i 2.0 Refresh Workshop. For more information or to register, please go to our website.
